New traffic lights at Plaisance roundabout starts working today
The new set of traffic lights at the Plaisance roundabout will start functioning as from today and will operate only during peak hours.
The Seychelles Land Transport Agency (SLTA) has said that during off-peak hours, the traffic lights will be on flashing amber. Flashing amber means motorists can proceed with caution using normal traffic rules and regulations of a roundabout. Motorists will use the method ‘give way to the right’ as they have been doing all along.
In regards to the timing of the peak hours, the SLTA has said there is a possibility that they may change, but this will depend on the traffic flow.
The SLTA kindly requests all motorists to follow all instructions given by the traffic lights and would appreciate their full cooperation towards this new project.
