Li té vé war cast is here!

The biggest troupe of Indian Ocean artists to have ever performed in Seychelles arrived in the country on Monday evening on an Etihad Airways flight from Mauritius.

This group, of which our iconic local singer and song writer Patrick Victor forms part, has been touring neighbouring islands to entertain their audience with the musical comedy Li té vé war (She wants to see), a play which originates from Reunion Island.

Seychelles is the third island destination where the cast will be stopping and performing over two days.

It was a historical moment for the airport to welcome such an interesting group of artists, comprising some of the most well known in the region, the likes of Linzy Bacbotte from Mauritius, Davy Sicard and Daniel Waro from Reunion, and Gilbert Pounia and Jaojoby from Madagascar.

It is the first time that such a large cast of performers – over 100 in total – will be performing live on our shores, and travelling on our national airline, a journey that will be memorable for them.

The show also features a large group of children, some accompanied by their parents.
They will be joined here by forty other young Seychellois who are members of the ‘One harmony’ choir under the guidance of Bennet Accouche.

Li té vé war, a two-hour show, is expected to be a very colourful play, with music recitals and dances which tells the story of our origin from a child’s perspective.

Members of the public will have the opportunity to see it on Friday March 20 and Saturday March 21 at 7.30pm at the International Conference Centre. Tickets are on sale at the National Arts Council office, Maki Shop and Ray’s Music Room and cost R150 apiece.

After Seychelles, this musical comedy which unites Indian Ocean comedian, dancers and musicians together on stage, will be heading to Mauritius to perform their last show on the tour.
