The most challenging part of our Community portal project is La Jeunesse - Youth page. A great deal of efforts have been put to try and address some fundamental issues of history which make our Seychelles community in EU, those from the La Jeunesse - Youth, who are saying why bother with all that past history stuff. We live in a modern world, modern time, approach to life, society, community relation and working situation - equally the many function, needs, issues to do with La Jeunesse - Youth.
We find our self in the same situation our parents and grand parents were in when we were Jeunesse - Youth, do not bother, pester, unload on us all your past history, life and problematic. We live in a modern world, that was some 50 years ago and as such what we wanted for our lives and our world, as Jeunesse and Youth. What became of us in this 50 years and indeed our parents and grand parents in their time. The very crucial question our Jeunesse - Youth ought to be asking, what will they and where will they be in 50 years time.
We have equally tried hard to explain to the world and to certain extent our Jeunesse - Youth, some of the modern issues our community, then Jeunesse -Youth of our community have had to deal with and tackle. Most important their contribution to the World, EU, Seychelles, the Indian Ocean and African Union. Including the great political divide of our nation and cultural,differences in the Indian Ocean.
There is not an aspect of life which is not affected or touched by IT and computer today and the future, where as infants, Jeunesse - Youth our lives were not impacted, influenced, controlled - today the terrible circumstance affecting our Jeunesse - Youth from conception, birth, infant and youth. The terrible, important positive and negative impact of IT, computer on their lives, growing up, concept of games and leisure, education, later work - not to exclude, depending where they reside in EU, the vast armies of institutions who collect, gathers information about them or anybody - how these information is/are used or abused, their impact and influence on our Jeunesse - Youth.
We want to underline something very important for our Community Jeunesse - Youth, when we were and are being called Pied Noirs, this has got and associated with very negative and certain positive factors. La Jeunesse - Youth of our community may feel, judge this does not affect them that much because they are EU citizens or citizen of the given country they were born in EU. One of the great benefit and positive assets of this association is to do with the complexities of the group of people called Pied Noirs, some of their great achievements in the world and EU for the past 60 years. What energy, what motivated them and their children. By this same motivation one of the greatest contributions our community can claim the credit, its contributions to help bring about the WWW the very significant impact on the world and the future. The situation our community was in, its need and the need to find , discover new ways of communication. Again as Pied Noirs, many other important issues as Jeunesse - Youth they were involved in. This in itself place a very important demand on the Jeunesse - youth of our community today and tomorrow. We do not need to go into the issues of competition or competitiveness and brutality of the world today and its demand once anybody has started, discovered or working to discover something unique. This very heavy responsibility fall on our Jeunesse - Youth.
As such when writing this introduction our thoughts - how our portal project ought to have been very special or unique, not the terrible state it is in, We ought to have got funding for the EU, UNESCO and many other EU institutions to help put something the Jeunesse -Youth would have been very proud. It is not the case. The explanations we have given. We have also given a great deal of opportunity for our Jeunesse - Youth, to get involved in developing the community portal project - because we could not get direct support and input form many of you, how we have gone to other organizations which involves youth of EU and the world to discuss, pick their brain, explain what we are trying to do and achieve. We have studied hundreds of online project for Jeunesse - Youth, how they are set up and functionality in relation to not just today’s needs, but the the IT - computer, mass and multi media development today and the future.
We trust those of you who will read or be told of this site contents will either be challenged or be so angry they will want to do something positive or negative. Most important we are looking at the Jeunesse - Youth of our community who will/want to contribute to help build a very unique page - space for them self in EU and the world via our community portal project. There is the availability of resource for an individual or group of individuals to manage the contents of the Jeunesse - Youth community page. You will have the possibility to carry adverts and very many bits and pieces which make managing, responsible, developing such a page challenging and very rewarding.
The population of EU is importantly impacted by elderly generation - at the same time across the EU, its many important institutions underlining the importance of La Jeunesse - Youth in society, the economy,. education, politic today and the future. The vast amount of resources at the Jeunesse - Youth disposition today, freedom. possibilities which just did not exist only a few years ago without going into the list. Most important La Jeunesse - Youth of a nation, community is its riches, pride and power. They have the ability to contribute importantly what the world and society will be in the future - whether mankind will be destroyed or their generation survive to build on past generation of their civilization and past them on their children and future posterity.
Our generation felt it had an obligation, duty to contribute to change the social, political system in Seychelles, the Indian ocean, the region, Africa and the world in spite of the terrible state we found ourself in Europe then. The same very challenge, obligation, duty which befall La Jeunesse - youth of our community, their contribution to build democracy, help sustain the world ecology, environment and indeed take leading responsibilities in some of the issues. These poses and are very major challenges for our Jeunesse - Youth of our community today and the future.
Equally very important the education concept approach of la Jeunesse Youth, the results work. Employment possibilities, responsibilities and role they can take later. Via our community portal project our Jeunesse Youth can address the many institutions of their concerns and needs, worries. We do not need to underline the importance of this project vis a vis the EU institutions and the world, the voice it carries and impact. Via it and through it, they can learn to communicate with the greater world, its powers, important institutions and media in manner which is very unique.
Among some of the burning issues affecting them, the family, society, media, the police brutality, political brutality and abuses, crime, diseases infesting society, drug abuse, violences, cultural division and many aspects of exclusion and many abnormalities in our society and theirs – these are issues they can and will be able to address them via our community portal project or set up a given project of their choice for the need of the Jeunesse Youth.
They will have the opportunity to interact with many of the very complex archaic issues and institutions of the EU and the world which is not available else where. That way and there by understand how the world and society have existed what it takes to contribute to make a unique society in EU and the world too.
